DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Scenario Lab Ltd (ScenarioLab)

Last Updated: 1 Nov 2025
Version: 1.0

1. Overview of Disability Discrimination Policy

ScenarioLab is committed to ensuring fair, respectful and inclusive treatment of all colleagues, learners and clients, including those with disabilities. This policy outlines our approach to preventing disability discrimination and supporting individuals with additional needs in the context of our digital learning environment.

ScenarioLab is currently a fully online training provider and does not operate physical premises for learners. Our training experiences are delivered through immersive, interactive digital content, which naturally includes visual, audio and interactive components. This policy sets out how we consider disability-related needs within this framework, and how we comply with relevant UK disability discrimination legislation.

2. ScenarioLab Statement on Disability Discrimination

ScenarioLab is committed to upholding the principles of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the Equality Act 2010. We aim to ensure that:

  • No learner, colleague or client is treated unfavourably because of disability
  • Reasonable adjustments are considered where feasible and appropriate
  • Barriers to participation are minimised where this can be achieved without altering the essential nature of our training
  • All individuals are treated with dignity and respect
  • Accessibility considerations are included in content reviews and product development

ScenarioLab recognises that disabilities and access needs vary significantly between individuals. We aim to support learners wherever reasonably possible while maintaining the integrity and immersive design of the ScenarioLab digital training environment.

3. Disability Discrimination Objectives of the Organisation

ScenarioLab aims to:

  1. Prevent disability discrimination in all interactions with learners, colleagues and clients
  2. Provide reasonable adjustments where feasible within our digital environment
  3. Clearly communicate the accessibility features and limitations of our interactive training
  4. Support learners in understanding and navigating the training format
  5. Consult with learners or clients where additional assistance may be required
  6. Continually review our digital platform to identify opportunities for accessibility improvement
  7. Ensure all colleagues understand their responsibilities under UK disability discrimination legislation

4. How ScenarioLab Upholds These Objectives

4.1 Digital Accessibility Considerations

ScenarioLab evaluates accessibility during product development and content updates, including:

  • Use of clear visual design
  • Use of readable, high contrast text where possible
  • Adjustable volume controls
  • Structured navigation
  • Clear instructions and onboarding guidance

4.2 Reasonable Adjustments

ScenarioLab will consider reasonable adjustments that do not alter the essential nature of the training. This may include:

  • Extended completion timeframes
  • Remote onboarding assistance
  • Supplementary guidance or clarifications
  • Liaison with client organisations to support individual learners

Because our training is inherently immersive, visually driven and audio supported, not all disabilities can be fully accommodated. Where a learner is unable to engage with the digital experience due to specific access requirements, ScenarioLab will work with the organisation or individual to explore alternative training solutions that may be more suitable.

4.3 Support for Learners with Disabilities

ScenarioLab encourages learners or clients to inform us of any disability-related needs at the earliest opportunity so we can discuss feasible options.

4.4 Responsibilities of Colleagues

All ScenarioLab team members are expected to:

  • Treat disabled colleagues and learners fairly and respectfully
  • Understand their responsibilities under this policy
  • Avoid discriminatory behaviours or decisions
  • Bring any accessibility issues or learner needs to management attention

4.5 Review and Continuous Improvement

ScenarioLab reviews this policy annually and updates it where necessary. Improvements to accessibility will be integrated into ongoing product development cycles where feasible.

5. Relevant Law and Legislation

This policy is informed by the following UK legislation:

Although ScenarioLab is an online training provider and does not operate physical training premises, we remain committed to acting in accordance with the principles of the above legislation.

6. Communications and Colleague Signature

This policy is communicated to all colleagues upon induction and is made available to learners and clients via our website. Updates or revisions will be communicated internally and published externally where required.

Colleagues are required to confirm that they have read and understood this policy as part of their onboarding and ongoing compliance responsibilities.
