1. Overview of Digital Health and Safety Policy

ScenarioLab delivers interactive, game-based AML training through online digital content. This Digital Health and Safety Policy outlines how we support safe, secure and responsible participation for all colleagues, clients and learners who engage with our online training.

ScenarioLab is a fully online training provider and does not operate physical premises for learners. This policy therefore focuses on digital learning environments, physical wellbeing during device use, and good practice for safe online participation.

This policy applies to ScenarioLab employees, contractors, corporate clients and individual learners.

2. ScenarioLab Statement on Digital Health and Safety

ScenarioLab is committed to promoting safe digital participation by:

  • Encouraging healthy and comfortable device use
  • Providing guidance on online safety and secure learning practices
  • Supporting a respectful and positive learning environment
  • Identifying and managing potential digital or wellbeing risks where possible
  • Ensuring colleagues and learners understand their responsibilities

ScenarioLab training is designed for adult professionals accessing content in a workplace or training environment.

3. Digital Health and Safety Objectives

ScenarioLab aims to:

  1. Provide clear physical and wellbeing guidance for learners completing digital training
  2. Promote online safety, privacy and good digital practices
  3. Support secure access to platforms, accounts and training content
  4. Encourage safe and respectful participation in webinars or live sessions
  5. Ensure colleagues understand how to support learners in digital environments
  6. Review this policy regularly and update practices when required

4. How ScenarioLab Upholds These Objectives

4.1 Physical and Wellbeing Advice

ScenarioLab encourages learners to:

  • Take short breaks at regular intervals, ideally every 20 to 30 minutes
  • Adjust posture, stretch or walk briefly between scenes or activities
  • Maintain a comfortable workstation setup with stable equipment
  • Use appropriate screen brightness and avoid glare
  • Stay hydrated while completing training
  • Complete the training in manageable blocks rather than long continuous sessions

Learners should pause the training if they experience discomfort or fatigue.

4.2 Choosing a Suitable Learning Environment

Learners should:

  • Use a quiet, distraction-free space where possible
  • Ensure their device is secure and placed on a stable surface
  • Avoid accessing the training while in unsafe environments such as moving vehicles
  • Be mindful of any confidential materials visible around them

4.3 Online Safety and Content Suitability

ScenarioLab content covers professional topics related to AML, fraud and financial crime. Training is designed for adults and is not intended for children or minors.

ScenarioLab recommends:

  • Confirming learners are appropriate for the training content
  • Ensuring learners understand any organisational security requirements
  • Contacting ScenarioLab with any suitability concerns prior to training

4.4 Security Practices

Learners should:

  • Keep login details secure and not share them with others
  • Use strong, unique passwords
  • Log out when using shared or public devices
  • Only share personal information when necessary
  • Use blurred backgrounds during sessions if sensitive items may be visible

ScenarioLab platforms use secure authentication and encrypted connections, but learner behaviour remains an important factor in keeping accounts secure.

4.5 Reporting and Risk Awareness

Learners or colleagues can report concerns relating to wellbeing, inappropriate content, digital safety or suspected security issues. Reports can be made to:

hello@scenariolab.co.uk

ScenarioLab will review and respond to all relevant concerns.

5. Relevant Law and Legislation

This policy reflects UK health and safety principles, including:

  • Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • HSE guidance relating to display screen equipment and remote working
  • Relevant online safety guidance

Although ScenarioLab does not operate physical training premises, we recognise the need to promote safe and responsible digital learning.

6. Communications and Colleague Signature

This policy is available to all colleagues, clients and learners through the ScenarioLab website. It is reviewed at least annually and updated where necessary.

All staff engaged in the design, support or facilitation of digital training are expected to follow this policy and promote safe digital learning practices.
